LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Students will consolidate their vocabulary using different prompts online and will be able to answer different questions related to the materials seen in class.

LANGUAGE OBJECTIVE: Students will recognize their strenghts and areas of improvement and will make a list of words/presentation they don't know or have trouble with.

MAKE UP WORK/EXTRA CREDIT FOR FIRST 9 WEEKS

General rules:

·         All work will be turned in by October 19^th.

·         All work will show professional standards (no wrinkles, flashy color pens, ripped pages, half done activities…)

·         Students can request to stay after school to work on this assignment.

·         Grades will make up missing assignments for that section. For example, if you are missing your family tree and you turn in a family Tree related activity you get credit for that missing assignment.

·         All work will be in a different piece of paper. Please staple your work if it is more than one page.

·         All work will be handwritten, no computers.

·         All vocabulary can be found in your notes or the vocabulary list from Sept 22^nd.

Activities

1)      Personal information:

Write the name of someone really famous. Under that name write in Spanish 3 physical qualities, where they live and when is their birthday.

2)      La familia:

Draw a family tree with at least 10 members. Under the drawing write 10 sentences describing how people are related. Ex: Obama es el padre de Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant es el hijo de Obama.

3)      Likes and dislikes:

Write 5 sentences about what you like and 5 sentences about what you don’t like/hate. Use vocabulary seen in class, proper names or cognates. Your grade will be based on variety of structures so don’t use just people’s names. Ex: Me gusta el chocolate

4)      El animal

Draw a monster and write 15 things about it. Include body parts and both physical and personal description like size, height, age, hometown…Ex: El monstruo es de Rusia. El monstruo tiene ocho ojos. El monstruo es azul.

5)      Comic

Draw a comic strip with at least 5 vignettes. Make characters have a conversation about any of the topics seen in class.

6)      El tiempo

List 5 weather conditions and write what you do when that is the actual weather. Ex: Cuando hace calor Alberto juega al tenis.

7)      Sentences

Write 10 sentences in Spanish and what they mean in English.
